COMMUNICATION EXCELLENCE: How to Develop Your Presence & Create a Revolution of Authenticity and Trust!

Tuesday, October 30th
12:45pm - 2:15pm

Because the margin for error is smaller than it’s ever been before and because improving communication skills is consistently ranked in the top two or three issues in results of workplace effectiveness surveys time after time, you’ll want to know what Body Language and Communication Expert Janine Driver knows.

Here’s the deal, the key to all growth and development is self-awareness. Everything you are going to do in this training will reveal something about yourself that you may not know.

During this program, you’ll also discover how the NEW body language and verbal communication can both be used to increase job satisfaction, internal communication in the organization and strengthen your sales and service levels.
What if we told you that fMRIs proved that, when evaluating brands, consumers use emotions rather than information to make decisions. How do you think your personal brand might measure up in the “evoking emotions in others” department?

In this training, you’ll learn how to:
- Measure the impact your body Language has on your approach with other people – both personally and professionally.
- Understand and adapt your own body language “go to” moves that identify you as confident
- Spot the subliminal messages we are sending to one another that effects people’s next moves
- Quickly Identify the top 3 nonverbal objections 99% of us are missing and how to adjust your own cues to present the best version of YOU
- Ask the right questions to immediately lead you to the getting more information in any situation
- Learn the Baselining Checklist that CEOs and leaders wish they had years ago!

The Beefed Up legislative session with senator phil berger and the nctia lobbying team

Tuesday, October 30th
2:30pm - 3:30pm

There are politicians in North Carolina and then there are the elected leaders that actually run the state.  Senator Phil Berger, the powerful Rockingham County Republican and President Pro Tem of the Senate, is one of three elected leaders, including Governor Roy Cooper and Speaker Tim Moore, who makes North Carolina work.

As a longtime supporter of North Carolina’s tourism industry, Senator Berger will discuss with conference attendees the Senate’s long held position of supporting a school calendar law that protects tourism while taking your questions on important pending policy questions around occupancy tax and tax reform.

Also on hand will be NCTIA’s lobbying and communications team — Brian Lewis, Jason Joyner, and Skye David — who spend each and everyday at the General Assembly advocating on NCTIA’s legislative agenda.

Decode Interaction Styles & Become a Stronger Leader and Build a Stronger Team

Tuesday, October 30th
3:45pm - 4:45pm

Because you want to be seen as a valued employee and respected leader, and you'd like to outperform and outlast your competition, this program helps you understand YOU better. Are you really an extrovert or introvert? Or, is it possible that you fall into one of the other two interaction styles: Versatile (also called an ambivert - both extroverted & introverted) or a Neutral?! And what does this mean for your success in your current and future positions within the company? How does this apply to other areas of your personal and professional life? Are YOU getting in the way of your own success?

During this session Janine will explain how body movement patterns reveal how YOU prefer to engage with others, and how THEY prefer to work with you when gathering research, deliberating and executing decisions. Plus, attendees will master the secrets to how you can avoid common communication pitfalls when working with others either one-to-one or part of a larger team.

After all, wouldn't you agree that it's crucial to your success and the companies' success to know people's interaction strengths and weaknesses, and what their priorities and values are?

In this educational and entertaining session, you will:
- Discover and learn the attributes of all four interactions styles
- Learn how to spot the clues that reveal the interaction style of friends, colleagues and yourself
- Learn to leverage the strengths and challenges of each style to improve and accelerate the best outcomes
- Experience, first-hand, a group exercise focused on getting to the heart of matters quickly and accurately in order to move success forward
