Tourism Excellence Award for Individual

This award recognizes an individual from the private sector who has performed an apparent service to the development and/or promotion of travel to North Carolina. That service must have transcended personal gain. No government official, government employee or government agency can be considered for this award.

Rules and Regulations
1. That the individual be a resident of the State of North Carolina at the time exemplary service is performed.
2. That the individual’s contribution is an apparent service to the development and/or promotion of travel in North Carolina.
3. That this service transcend the individual’s mere personal financial gain. In other words, be above and beyond the call of his/her particular business or assigned duty, if employed.

Additional Guidelines
1. No elected government official, government employee, or governmental agency can be considered for the awards during his/her term in office or employment.
2. No organization whose primary funding (50% or more) comes from tax or governmental sources is eligible.
3. An unsuccessful candidate one year may be renominated for the Award the following year or for any number of subsequent years.
4. No President, president-elect, or immediate past-president or employee of the NCTIA is eligible for consideration during his or her term in office or employment.
